May 16th – May 17th, 2014 – District Conference
What: This is a once per year treat to see the best speakers gather together and network. This year, we’ll have Mark Brown, the 1995 World Champion of Public Speaking.

April 24th, 2014 – Area Contest
What: This is the speech contest for the Area. This is done after the local club contest is completed and the winner is selected to continue competing in larger divisions. The local winners from multiple clubs will be present for this contest. This is a great opportunity to hear seasoned speakers speak.

April 10, 2014 – Parker Toastmasters Club Contest
What: A special event where we have an international speaking contest with a chance to move up and eventually go to the world speaking contest. In addition, we’ll have a best evaluator contest as well. The winners will then go to the Area contest, followed by the division, and followed by the international world speaking contest.

April 3, 2013 – Speak-a-Thon
What: This is your chance to give one or two speeches in one day, and it does not matter whether they are long (advanced manuals) or short. The objective here is to allow our members to crank out their speeches and focus only on their speeches. There will be no evaluations for this, but many wonderful speeches.

January 25 2014 – TLI Conference
What: It is with great pleasure that I say, everyone is invited to attend TLI! The event is of no cost, in other words, FREE!!! If you would like to learn more about Toastmasters, Leadership/Officer Roles, listen to Lance Miller a World Champion Speaker and network then this is the event to attend.

When: Saturday January 25, 2014, Registration at 7:30am Key Note at 8am. Event lasts until 1 pm or optional presentations until 4 pm.
January 31, 2014 – Passport to Paris
What: According to the Denver Art Museum “Passport to Paris brings together works from the rock stars of the art world—Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and more—as well as a rare opportunity to view 11 works by Claude Monet at one time.” It is our social hangout where we can tour these artworks downtown. Come join your fellow toastmasters in checking out historic artwork.

September 12, 2013 – Area Contest

August 24, 2013 – Parker Toastmasters Open House
What: An awesome event to see and discover how Parker Toastmasters can make you a better speaker. Special guests include newscasters Beverly Weaver and Deborah Takahara. Brunch will be served.

July 26, 2013 – Parker Wine Walk
What: While this is not specifically related to public speaking, it is something that we do for fun! Come join us for the Parker Wine Walk and mingle with your fellow Toastmasters while enjoying the food and beverages.

July 20, 2013 – Toastmasters Leadership International (TLI)
What: TLI is primarily geared for club officer training, but is open to any Parker Toastmasters members. The keynote speakers are very inspiring and the training session impart new practical knowledge.
Where: Red Rocks Community College, Lakewood, CO.

June 27, 2013 – End of Year Outdoor Party
What: We are celebrating the end of a successful year of Parker Toastmasters, and acknowledging the beginning of a new year for the club. Bring yourself, and your family or friends and join us for hamburgers, hotdogs, snacks, and great networking.

May 23, 2013 – Debate Night
What: This has been part of our Parker Toastmasters tradition to have a debate night at least once per year. A topic will be chosen by debators and studied upon. On the debate night, they will defend their stance and see who the audience chose as the winner of the debate.
