Below is my email to the area Metro 6 Presidents and Officers who run the clubs: Spirited Speakers, Lunch Out Loud, Castle Rock Toastmasters and Southridge Toastmasters. I am proposing to use a ‘passport’ to foster productive idea-sharing and build relationships among our greater Toastmasters community.

Fellow Metro 6 Presidents and Officers:
It was great to meet and see many of you at the recent M5/M6 contest last Friday night. It is always stimulating and thought-provoking to see what other clubs and their members are involved in, and in that state of euphoria I thought of a way to encourage further engagement and relationship-building within area Metro 6.
The idea is a Metro 6 Passport – you get it signed by every visit to each of the Metro 6 clubs and visiting every one earns you the Passport Award. Of course, the real reward is meeting the different members of the different clubs, getting great ideas in how they run their clubs and meetings. The journey is the real point of this, and the experiences and relationships gained are the real value brought to each Toastmaster in each of our clubs with every opportunity like this.
Attached is what you may term a rough draft of the passport.
Please let me know your thoughts on this idea.
My own club is looking forward to a ‘field trip’ to the Spirited Speakers club this upcoming Tuesday. You and any of your members are always welcome to visit Parker Toastmasters.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
