The reason why we, the members of Parker Toastmasters, attend the club regularly is to sharpen our public speaking skills and to gradually step out of our comfort zone by increasing leadership skills.
We understand that knowledge without the ability to communicate it effectively is like a bicycle without wheels.
Since the members at Parker Toastmasters have different backgrounds and speaking abilities, each one benefits from exposure to new ideas and techniques in speaking.
Whether you’re an office worker, entrepreneur, or are just seeking to gain a stronger communication skill-set, Parker Toastmasters might be what you’ve been looking for. We gladly invite you to come visit our club to get a taste of what we do. See our Frequently Asked Questions for quick answers.
President’s Message for 2013
I am so excited to lead a new group of Parker Toastmaster Officers into the 2013-2014 year! This club has become a great addition to my life in many ways. My personal and professional life has evolved to include many great friends and networking opportunities. I have also gained more confidence in my public speaking and leadership abilities- and I’m finding the more I take on the better I become.
So what does that mean for you? It means that you have a club right here in Parker, Colorado that can help you start to gain confidence in yourself with impromptu speaking, planned speeches, leadership roles in the club and in the community, and have supportive people that turn into friends.
We have produced great Toastmasters such as Janell Ames, Mrs. Colorado 2011, and Alyssa Tenorio, an author of children’s books and many others that have had job promotions or increased their revenue. We have been Distinguished Club for the past three years and we are onto our fourth year to grab that title again. We have an exciting year planned and we need your help. Each of us contributes something great and unique to the world- and we need your skills to make us even better.
Take the time to visit and meet a smiling face every Thursday from 7-8:15pm.
Come see what Parker Toastmasters can do for you!
Nina Minary
Parker Toastmasters, President
In the interests of public health and safety, Parker Toastmasters for the time being will conduct all of its business remotely, and we will use virtual meetings during the duration of the Coronavirus outbreak.
We will not conduct our regular meetings at the Southeast Christian Church. Instead, all our meetings will be conducted using online services.
We still welcome guests, and if you wish to check out our club, or you have any questions, feel free to email us at parkertoastmasters@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Chris Stevens
